Arrival and Dismissal
For safety and security purposes, parents/guardians are not permitted to enter the buildings/classrooms to pick up or drop off their children. If students need any assistance, staff members are available and happy to help.
- 8:25 am: Students may enter the building.
- 8:40 am: The school day begins.
- 3:40 pm: The dismissal period begins.
Our learning time is precious, therefore we encourage students to arrive on time and to stay all day. However, we understand that late arrivals or early pick-ups are sometimes required.
Late Arrivals
Students who arrive at school after 8:40 am will be marked tardy, and a parent/guardian will need to come to the front office to sign them in. If you know in advance that your child will be late, please call or email the front office.
Early Pick-ups
If you need to pick up your child early, please come to the front office; the secretary will verify your identity and will call your child to the office. Students will not be called until their grown-ups arrive. To ensure effective end-of-day procedures and a safe and smooth dismissal process, students who need to leave early must be picked up by 3:15 pm.
Car Riders
Car pick-up and drop-off occurs in the back of the building in the South Playground Lot. This area is open for car traffic from 8:15 - 8:35 am and again after 3:15 pm.
Bus Riders
Both in the morning and afternoon, buses will be located in the front of the building along the front driveway for loading/unloading students. For information about the KSD bus program, please visit our KSD Bus Transportation website. While our buses tend to run on-time, if we learn of delays that will impact pick-up or drop-off times, we will let families know as soon as possible.
